The Art of Friendship Through Massage
When we originally sat down and discussed creating a massage therapy school in Aspen, one of the last things on our minds was the social dynamics that would be created as students learned, healed and worked together. Our initial conversations centered around ways to keep the costs down and present a program that allowed almost anyone with passion and drive to find a new career. We examined license requirements, program details and the normal business acumen as well as purposely creating an environment of health and healing. An Unintended but Fantastic Result
As we watch our students graduate and move into new careers we are thankful for friendships that were forged and the peace created in the brief time they spent together. In most educational programs, students compete for grades, awards and position rather than helping each other to succeed. There is something special when the the person training next to you reaches out to help on a moments notice and takes the time to help you reach your goal.Life Long Friends
As we reflect on our goals and look towards the future we are extremely pleased that our students have become professionals and certified massage therapists. We are excited that that were able to learn strong business practices that will allow them to succeed even beyond their career in massage therapy. Most of all we are grateful that we are reminded that massage therapy is a discipline that brings health, wellness and peace. In the friendships we have created and for those yet to come, we are eternally grateful.by Mark Popenhagen
