Gold Medals All Around!

Like many of you, I really enjoyed watching the Olympics. There is always something inspiring when you see an individual who has dedicated their whole being to a single purpose be rewarded for their efforts. Even the athletes who haven’t medaled are spectacular and amazing people just by having the opportunity to compete on such a grand stage. As the closing ceremony finishes I am struck by the life changing atmosphere for each and every athlete.

At AMI we have the honor to work with people who dedicate their lives to making other lives better. In each session we welcome a new group of students. Many have the same scared and apprehensive face of our children on the first day of school. We see the anxiety, but know that soon their excitement will grow and their confidence rise. It is a wonderful honor to be part of this growth.

Helping Others through Massage Therapy

Amanda's Certificate Massage and Bodywork Licensing ExamWhen the idea first came up to open the Aspen Massage Institute we focused our efforts on creating opportunities for everyone who wanted to improve their lives. We knew that massage therapy was, and still is one of the most rapidly growing segments of health services, and has the ability to literally touch and change so many lives.

We have taught and become close friends with so many students over the past years and have been privileged to see the results of dedication and hard work. Our students come from everywhere. They all have different jobs, lives and backgrounds. Some come from Aspen, others from around the U.S. and even the world. Their diversity gives us hope and reminds us everyone deserves a chance to succeed.

All Our Students Came in First

It’s hard to judge success sometimes. The 2016 Olympics showed us it is more than just winning gold medals; it’s also about caring for those around you and sharing in the hard work. We love working alongside our students, getting to know them, their challenges and strengths. We love seeing the “ah-ha” moments, and sharing the joy of success.

Every Student Passed the MBLEx Colorado State Test!

Graduation day is special for us. Before us stand people that are ready for a new career. Once anxious and doubtful our students are confident and prepared. Their eyes gleam with hope. They face one last hurdle, the licensing test. The MBLEx (Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam) for Colorado is not easy. It puts the skills and knowledge of each applicant to the test. Many fail. Our students did not. In fact, every student from our last session passed. I’m proud of them and of our instructors.

Get Your Gold Medal

Andree shows off her Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam CertificateAs we prepare for the next session of our Certified Massage Therapist training in April we are already thinking about the new students we will meet. Some will have health backgrounds; some will be waiters and bartenders, moms and dads, young and old. We look forward to watching them accomplish their goals. We look forward to meeting their families and support groups. We look forward to watching them succeed.

If you are looking for a change, a career that helps others and financially rewarding, we urge you to give us a call. If you know someone that says over and over how much they hate their job and they just want to help people, give them our number. We want everyone to get their Gold Medal.
