Paradise at 7,900 feet

Every month we try to explain more about our Massage Therapy Certification Program and share helpful information with people looking to make a positive change in their life. Recently I was talking with a potential client who asked, “Why Aspen?” I must admit, as someone who lives here my first comment might have been, “Because it’s Aspen!”, but at the same time I realized many of our students come from all over and perhaps a little info might be a good thing.

Beauty Everywhere

Welcome to nature’s playground. The beauty of the Western Slope of the Rocky Mountains is exemplified in the city of Aspen, Colorado. While it is well known for the wonderful aspen trees so prevalent in the area, it is also home to a wide variety of natural wonders. For those who love the outdoors this is a great place to visit or even better, call home.

The spring and summer offer the adventure of hiking, biking, fishing or just plain walking and marveling at surroundings. The winter is home to every winter sport imaginable and home of many professional skiing events and a regular stop for the X-Games. Aspen is paradise for anyone who loves the mountains and being active year round.

Art, Relaxation and Fun

Aspen is also very well known for art and culture. You can enjoy exhibits at the Aspen Art Museum or at one of the many events held in this city known for its creativity. While full of activity this city maintains its mountain town feel. Full of great restaurants, unique Colorado stores and wonderful nightlife destinations, it still has the closeness and community so many towns have lost. It is no wonder that celebrities and people from around the world come here to get away from the bustle of life.

So, in retrospect to the question, “Why Aspen?”, and although I’m trying hard to be humble, the answer is truly, “It’s simply the best place in the world to change your life and love where you live at the same time.” I welcome you to come join us and discover the wonder of this community.
